Restylane®

Restylane® is a wrinkle correction treatment that uses a natural cosmetic dermal filler to give fullness to the skin. It corrects moderate to severe wrinkles as well as folds in the skin, such as nasolabial folds.

Because Restylane® is made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid, it is completely compatible with your body's own hyaluronic acid and is widely used by physicians worldwide. Restylane® Injections

Restylane® injections are given directly into the skin with an ultra-fine needle. You’ll experience instant results and minimal discomfit during this short procedure. Common sites for Restylane® injections include the fold that runs from the corner of your nose to your mouth, called the nasolabial fold, as well as the mouth corners, called the oral commissures. Restylane® can also be used to fill certain acne scars, again replacing the volume loss associated with this scarring. Restylane® replaces the volume that we lose as we all age and acts to fill in the wrinkle folds that develop over time.

Juvéderm

Juvéderm is an injectable gel used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as those on the sides of your nose and mouth - the nasolabial folds. Juvéderm is the only hyaluronic filler (HA) that is FDA approved to last up to ONE YEAR. Results are so smooth and natural looking that everyone will notice your improvement, but no one will know. In our Manhattan office, we use two forms of Juvéderm:

How Juvéderm Works in Your Skin

The appearance of wrinkles can be smoothed by adding structure and volume from underneath, bringing the sunken skin up to the surface. Juvéderm accomplishes this by using a purified formulation of hyaluronic acid (a substance that occurs naturally in your skin). HA is known to absorb up to 1000 times its weight in water.
