Laser Hair Removal Treatments
Our state-of-the-art laser produces a highly focused beam of light that is absorbed by dark
pigment in the hair follicle. Laser energy is converted to heat and destroys the follicle,
impeding its ability to generate a new hair. Since many hair follicles can be treated at once,
laser hair removal treatments are appropriate for large areas such as the legs, thighs, and back.
Laser hair removal treatments may last anywhere from a few minutes to a full hour, depending on
the size of the area being treated. We use a cooling hand piece to soothe your skin during the procedure,
making it suitable for even sensitive skin. Many people compare the sensation to the snap of a rubber band. Expect to resume your normal activities after your treatments.
Laser is most effective when treating hairs in the active growth stage (anagen). Since you never have
your full complement of hair at once, it will be necessary to have multiple laser hair treatments over a
period of several months. Periodic scheduled services allow us to effectively treat all new hair growth as
it comes to the surface of your skin, ensuring a favorable result.
Not all people are candidates for laser hair removal. Generally people with light skin and dark hair respond best to
